(These activities are available at every session.)
- Climbing equipment, both in doors and outside.
- Messy play, both indoors and outside.
- Small World (dolls houses / garages + cars).
- Cause and effect toys are always available for the younger children.
- Adult led activity will have a curriculum focus, i.e. Art or Language or Creative Development.
- Construction equipment is always available.
- ICT Computers are available for use in both the main hall and the cabin.
- Role play is available for all age groups.
- At Circle Time we focus on letters and sounds (encouraging listening skills and the ability to discriminate between one sound and another. This leads into pre-reading and writing skills.
- Outdoor play time. There are bikes, trikes, and climbing opportunities. Gardening as a calm organised activity is organised.
- In the event of rain, the children participate in a group movement session.
- Lunch club. The children often bring a lunch bag and sit together. A great time for developing simple social skills and independence.
- Snack time. This is a time where the children sit as a small group and have the opportunity to help to prepare their own snack with the supervision of a member of staff.
- Music time at the end of each day. The children have the opportunity to sit as part of a larger group and use musical instruments.
- Story time. A calm time where the children are read a story at the end of each session.
Occasional visitors are invited to Puddle Ducks, such as firemen and Paradise Wildlife Park staff.
